Acceptance of terms

By using this website, submitting a form, booking a studio tour, renting space, or booking a private Pilates session at Enhancewell, 41 Union Square West, Suite 501, New York, NY 10003, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or the studio.

What we offer

Enhancewell operates a studio at 41 Union Square West, Suite 501, offering hourly rental of Pilates studio space and private treatment rooms to independent, licensed or certified practitioners, and offering private and duet Pilates instruction directly to individual clients. Published rates for both are shown on our pricing page and are subject to change with reasonable notice; the rate in effect at the time you book is the rate that applies to that booking.

Booking

Studio hours and Pilates sessions are reserved through our online booking system or by direct arrangement with our team, on the hour, half-hour or quarter-hour. A booking is confirmed only once you receive confirmation from us or from the booking system — an inquiry or lead-form submission alone does not reserve a room or a session time.

Cancellation policy

Classes can be cancelled up to 12 hours before the start time and the credit returns to your account. Private sessions need 24 hours. Professional rental bookings follow the 12-hour window, because the room is held out of the calendar and no one else can use it.

This policy exists because a reserved hour is removed from the calendar for everyone else the moment it's booked; late cancellations and no-shows have a direct cost to the studio and to other practitioners who could have used that hour.

Insurance and certification requirements for renting practitioners

Any practitioner renting Pilates studio or treatment room space must hold a valid professional certification or state license appropriate to their modality (for example, a state massage therapy license, an approved Pilates instructor certification, an esthetics license, or an equivalent credential) and must carry professional liability insurance that names the Enhancewell studio entity as an additional insured. Proof of both must be provided before your first booking and kept current for the duration of your rental relationship with us. We may suspend or decline bookings if this documentation lapses.

Conduct in the studio

Practitioners and their clients are expected to treat the space, the equipment and other renters with care and courtesy: leaving rooms clean and reset for the next booking, respecting the reserved times of practitioners booked before or after you, keeping noise at a reasonable level given the shared floor plan, and using apparatus and equipment only for its intended purpose. Practitioners are responsible for their own clients' conduct while on the premises. We reserve the right to end a rental relationship, without refund of amounts already due, for conduct that endangers people, damages property, or repeatedly disregards these terms.

Payment

Rates for studio rental and Pilates sessions are published on our pricing page and billed according to the arrangement confirmed with you at booking (per hour, package, or another published rate). Amounts due for bookings that are not cancelled within the window described above remain payable regardless of attendance.

Liability

Pilates instruction and bodywork carry inherent physical risk. By booking a private Pilates session, or by renting space to see your own clients, you acknowledge that physical activity and hands-on bodywork carry some risk of injury, and that Enhancewell is not liable for injuries arising from a renting practitioner's independent professional services, which remain that practitioner's sole responsibility and are covered by their own professional liability insurance. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Enhancewell's total liability arising from your use of the studio or this website is limited to the amount you paid to us for the specific booking giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under New York law.

Independent contractor relationship

Practitioners who rent space at Enhancewell are independent business owners, not employees, contractors or agents of Enhancewell. Enhancewell does not supervise, direct or take responsibility for the clinical, therapeutic or instructional judgment of any renting practitioner.

Website use

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt its operation, scrape its content for competitive use, or submit false information through its forms. Content on this site, including text, layout and studio photography descriptions, is the property of Enhancewell and may not be reproduced without permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the studio or this website will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the studio or this website after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
