Treatment room rental

Treatment Room Rental in NYC for Estheticians & Facialists

A private, steam-and-lighting-equipped room at Union Square, set up for facials and skincare services and rented by the hour to licensed estheticians.

Estheticians and facialists rent this same private room, set up for the flow of a skincare service rather than a bodywork one: a face steamer within reach of the table, lighting you can dial down for extractions or up for a consultation, and a surface that is sanitized between every booking. You bring your product line and your technique; the room supplies the table, climate, light and towel service around it.

A face steamer and lighting built for skin work

The room's face steamer is positioned and ready at the start of your hour — no filling a unit or waiting for it to warm up on your own time. Dimmable lighting lets you shift from bright, direct light for a skin consultation and extraction step to low, calming light for a mask or massage sequence, all without leaving the room or asking anyone to adjust anything for you.

Sanitation between clients

The table, tools and surfaces are wiped down between every booking, and the 55-minute session format is built with that turnover in mind — the missing five minutes of a full hour is reserved for cleanup and resetting the room before the next practitioner's client walks in. Clean linens and hand towels arrive with every booking and are laundered by the studio, not by you.

What you bring versus what's already here

A question we get on nearly every tour: does the studio supply the skincare products? It does not. You bring your own product line, serums, masks and any modality-specific tools — a dermaplaning blade, an LED panel, a specific peel system — and the room supplies everything around your service: the table, steamer, dimmable lighting, air conditioning, linens and towel service. Practitioners who book recurring hours can ask about storage options for keeping a product kit on-site rather than carrying it through the subway on every visit.

Who books this room

Licensed estheticians and facialists building an independent client list rent this room most — some seeing clients full-time from it, others fitting a handful of weekly facials around a spa job elsewhere. A current state license and professional liability insurance naming the studio entity as additional insured are required before your first hour is confirmed, and a private client waiting area means an early arrival is not sitting in the hallway.

Rate

Treatment room hourly rate

Hourly bookings start at $36, with half-day rates at [RATE — PENDING CLIENT APPROVAL] and full-day rates at [RATE — PENDING CLIENT APPROVAL] for estheticians running a full service day out of one room. Weekdays 7:00–11:00am and 4:00–8:00pm, plus Saturday 8:00am–2:00pm tend to book out first; Weekdays 11:00am–4:00pm and 8:00–10:00pm, plus Sunday all day leave more room on shorter notice. Classes can be cancelled up to 12 hours before the start time and the credit returns to your account. Private sessions need 24 hours. Professional rental bookings follow the 12-hour window, because the room is held out of the calendar and no one else can use it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the face steamer already plumbed and ready, or do I need to fill it myself?

The face steamer is set up in the room and ready to use at the start of your booked hour. You are not responsible for maintaining or bringing your own unit.

Can I dim the lighting during extraction or peel steps?

Yes, the room has dimmable lighting that you control for the step you are on — brighter for consultation and extraction, lower for a relaxation massage or mask sequence.

How is the room sanitized between clients?

Surfaces, the table and tools are wiped down between every booking, and the 55-minute session structure builds in a buffer specifically for that cleanup before the next practitioner's hour begins.

Can I keep my own products and tools at the studio, or does everything travel with me?

Storage options exist for practitioners who book recurring hours, so estheticians who bring a specific line of products or a personal tool kit do not need to carry it in on the subway each visit. Ask on your tour about a dedicated shelf or bin.

Does the studio supply the skincare products, or do I bring my own line?

You bring your own product line and any modality-specific tools. The room supplies the table, steamer, lighting, linens and towel service; the products you use on a client's skin are yours to choose and bring.

Is there running water or a sink in the room for rinsing masks?

Facilities for rinsing and cleanup are part of the shared floor; confirm the exact setup for your service — a wet mask step, a peel neutralization step — on your tour so you can plan your service flow around it.

Do I need an esthetics license to book this room?

Yes. A valid state esthetics or cosmetology license and professional liability insurance naming the studio entity as additional insured are required before your first booking is confirmed.
